It’s almost May! School vacation week is over in Massachusetts, and we are headed into the end of the school year.
If you’re like me, winter holiday gift planning is routine, just part of the Fall schedule. But Springtime? We have Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, we have Graduations to celebrate, and we have summer fun to plan. So many things to remember. But we simply cannot forget about thanking those teachers, therapists, nurses, classroom assistants, and administrators who have worked so hard all year long to make sure our students are safe, happy, learning, progressing, making friends, and reaching their therapeutic goals.
More decisions to make…?
Now that I have brought it to your attention…the last thing I want you to do is agonize over what to get everyone! You want to get those amazing professionals something personal, something special, something that lets them know how much you appreciate them and what they do. And what better than a memorable image of one of their favorite students?
Fun Photo Gift Ideas
Since I am a Special Needs Portrait Photographer, it’s no surprise that I usually give Photo Gifts to my son’s team. Which reminds me…I need to get on that! I’ll look through my photos from the past school year and see what looks like one they would appreciate. Or maybe I will create a new one! He might be smiling right at the camera, or maybe not. I will probably settle on a silly one, because that reflects his personality. Maybe he will be smirking or giving me a dirty look, or maybe he will be so engrossed in his activity that he doesn’t even realize I am there.
In the past I have gifted coasters, memo pads, acrylic frames with photos, mugs and vases filled with candy, even tote bags! All of these gifts have been personalized with a photo of my “precious boy” and each one has been a huge hit!
Special Offer…
I am now offering “micro sessions” for individual students specifically planning for end of year Teacher Gifts. 10 minutes for $50, including one digital image.
And… when your images are ready, you will get a Coupon for 10% off of any items you purchase through my online gallery- I currently offer Prints, Canvas Gallery Wraps, Bookmarks, Stickers, Magnets, and Coasters!
Bonus!
How many people are on your child’s gift list? I don’t know about you, but our Special Education team consists of a head teacher, a classroom nurse, two classroom aids, a speech therapist, a physical therapist, an adaptive physical education teacher, an occupational therapist, a vision therapist, a van driver, and a van aid. Plus, we like to gift a few other professionals in the building who have worked with my son in the past and still see him regularly (it’s a very small school); we are up to at least 15 off the top of my head.
Luckily, I have found some photo gifts that you can order in multiples! I’m telling you, it’s the best way to do it. In my online studio, Coasters come in sets of 4, Magnets in sets of 15, Bookmarks in sets of 50, and Stickers in sets of 40! Of course, you can also choose a Print Package if you have something else in mind to do with your student’s photo.
Let’s Book Your Micro-Session!
Are you ready to get on the schedule? We should get it done soon so there is plenty of time for you to prepare your child, for me to edit your images, and for your gift items to arrive before the end of the school year. Send me an email with the Subject Line: TEACHER GIFT and we will pick a day, a time, and a place that fits your needs.
I can’t wait to capture some beautiful and fun images for you!
