Ohhh what a bummer;

It’s the end of summer.

(That is a Marcie original!)

And some of our kids are beginning their final year of schooling!

He might be entering his senior year of high school; she might be finishing up her transition program with the approach of her 22nd birthday.

Wherever they are, they are reaching a major milestone, and they deserve to be celebrated!

Senior photos are a great way to punctuate how hard our kids have worked, how much they have accomplished, and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. And they give our young adults a truly personal way to express themselves.

A young man sitting on a chair on his back deck. he is wearing a bright blue shirt and black pants, has his hands in his lap, and has a big smile. He is posing for his senior portrait session.

Anything that your child is passionate about, or proud of, or simply enjoys- it can be showcased in a senior photo session.

Does she love nature? New England has so many beautiful parks.

Does he play a sport? Let’s include the gear they use, and don’t forget to bring their uniform.

Maybe she just wants some glamour shots, with cool backgrounds and funky accessories.

The possibilities are truly endless!

It’s amazing getting to know young adults who have been extraordinarily challenged and are excited about the next big stage of life. I almost always learn something new and interesting during both the planning and the actual photo shoot, and they happily give me really cool ideas for upcoming seniors on my calendar.

By the end of the session, I truly do what I can to stay updated on their lives. And I really enjoy being a cheerleader for so many amazing young men and women with special needs.

Some of your High School Seniors may have more to say than others- one might be super excited for the variety of photos we can take that highlights their best selves, and another might be doing it because Mom is making them. By the end of the session, though, they almost always have a smile. At the very least, they admit it wasn’t so bad! Usually, though, they have a blast!

Do you have a rising high school senior or a transition student approaching 22?

I would absolutely love to work with you to create their Individualized Portrait Session.

Senior Photos are a must in the wall collection of family portraits, and our kids are excited to have a fun photo album to bring with them as they move through their lives.

And one more thing…

Mom, Dad, Sibling- whoever is accompanying your senior, make sure you are camera-ready so you can get in some of the shots too. You’ll be so glad you did!
